They called the monsters ‘Chagrin.’ The callous arrogance of a secret group named G.U.I.S.T birthed portals that bled purple. From these wounds in the world, the abominations poured forth, drowning human civilization in a tide of chaos and fear. The air, tainted by otherworldly miasmas, brought only death and transformation. As the errant architects of this apocalypse, G.U.I.S.T was summoned. With reluctant hands, they set to work, forging new sciences and weapons to fend off the nightmares they had unleashed. Even as G.U.I.S.T’s inventions clawed at the darkness wrought by monstrosities, poison airs, and the collapse of order, those left had but one horizon unclouded: the mystic realm. To this strange and ethereal refuge they turned, abandoning an Earth overwhelmed by the horrors it had birthed in search of promised horizons on the other side. The fortunate looked to the purple skies of the mystic realm. The unfortunate looked up to their poisoned blue sky and waited for the world to end. Beyond it all, one man finds himself in the mystic realm, a survivor carrying incoherent memories, a belly full of vodka, and a penchant for violence. His name is Zaitsev Moscavic, and he might just be humanity’s last Tales from the mystic realm: Desidero is a gripping tale of survival, sacrifice, and the relentless human spirit in the face of unimaginable terror. Join Zaitsev on his journey through the mystic realm as he battles both the horrors of the past and the uncertainties of a new world. Will he find redemption, or will the chagrin consume everything he holds dear?
