Beyond Zombies is an easy-to-learn survival horror tabletop RPG which features skills and abilities specifically designed to be used with and against living characters. From persuasion to resources, hacking to leadership, medicine to religion, there are nearly limitless solutions to the problems—both undead and otherwise—that your group will encounter in Beyond Zombies.
One the most fundamental elements about Beyond Zombies is that it’s not just about the undead. From the skills to the equipment to the narrative itself, the game is designed with the human element in mind. In any catastrophic or post-apocalyptic scenario, it is the human dynamic that makes the story interesting. Living non-player characters, whether friend or foe, make lasting impacts and relatable faces.
The Beyond Zombies Core Rulebook is a set of basic rules and regulations for playing the game. Once the Narrator and players are familiar with the game mechanics and system, they can play rather independently of this book – using it only for reference. Beyond Zombies was designed with simplicity and easiness of use in mind, without needing a library of supplements and errata like some other RPGs.
